Amman Spring Packing List

Welcome to Amman in the Spring!

Travel Dates: March, April, May

Spring in Amman is warm and pleasant, but it can still be cool in the evenings, especially in March and April. During the day, you’ll want light layers—short sleeves or a light jacket are perfect for exploring the city’s historical sites. As the evenings can get breezy, especially on Rainbow Street, having a light sweater or jacket will keep you comfortable. Sunglasses and a hat are helpful during sunny afternoons in May when the temperatures rise, and if you’re planning to visit the Dead Sea, don’t forget your swimsuit!

Dress Code

Amman is a blend of modern and traditional, so it’s best to dress modestly, especially when visiting religious or cultural sites. Women should avoid revealing clothing, and men typically wear long pants rather than shorts. Lightweight trousers or dresses are great for staying cool while maintaining modesty. In tourist areas and trendy spots like Rainbow Street, you’ll find a more casual vibe, but still, it’s respectful to dress conservatively. At the Dead Sea, swimsuits are fine, but it’s respectful to cover up when you leave the beach or pool areas.
