What Should You Pack for Dubai?
Dubai’s weather varies greatly by season, so pack light, breathable clothing for the hotter months. In spring, summer, and fall, you’ll need lightweight clothes like short sleeves, tank tops, and airy fabrics. For winter, pack light sweaters or jackets for cooler evenings. While Dubai is very modern, it’s still good to pack modest clothing for visiting cultural sites, like mosques. And don’t forget sun protection—sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat are essentials for those sunny days!
Make sure you’re prepared for: Visiting Burj Khalifa, shopping at Dubai Mall, desert safaris, lounging at Jumeirah Beach, and exploring Dubai Marina.
Dress Code
Dubai is known for its glamorous, fashionable style, but there are cultural guidelines to keep in mind. While it’s fine to wear bikinis at private beaches and hotel pools, it’s important to dress modestly in public spaces like malls and traditional markets. For men and women, shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting religious or cultural sites. If you’re dining at upscale restaurants or attending events, consider packing a stylish dress or smart-casual outfit for the evening.

- Luggage Locks: Can be handy even if you’re not checking luggage, making your backpack more pickpocket-proof.
- Sleep Mask: An eye mask is a game changer for helping you get quality sleep each night.
