What Should You Pack for Palma de Mallorca?

Palma de Mallorca has a Mediterranean climate, so packing light, breathable clothing is a must! During summer, you’ll want to wear shorts, dresses, and tank tops for those sunny beach days. Spring and fall are comfortable, but pack a light sweater or jacket for cooler mornings and evenings. Winters are mild, but a light jacket or rain jacket is useful for the occasional rainy day. Don’t forget your swimsuit and a beach coverup for days spent on the beautiful beaches, and comfy shoes for exploring the Old Town!

Make sure you’re prepared for: Exploring Palma Cathedral, lounging on Playa de Palma beach, visiting Bellver Castle, strolling through the Old Town, and enjoying boat tours along the coast.

Dress Code

Palma de Mallorca is laid-back but has a stylish flair, especially in the evenings. Casual beachwear is perfect for daytime activities like lounging by the sea or exploring the city’s coastal walks. For dinners or nights out, smart-casual attire is recommended—light dresses, skirts, or linen pants work great. If you plan to visit the cathedral or other historical sites, remember to wear modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Comfortable shoes are essential for walking on the cobbled streets of the Old Town.
