Welcome to Naples in the Spring!

Travel Dates: March, April, May

Spring in Naples is a lovely time to explore the city, with the weather gradually warming up from March to May. Early in the season, you’ll need to layer up a bit, as mornings and evenings can be cool. A short sleeve shirt with a warm jacket or sweater is perfect for March, while lighter layers will suffice by May. Since rain is possible, particularly in March and April, be sure to pack a small umbrella or a light rain jacket. Comfortable walking shoes are a must for navigating the historic streets and exploring nearby attractions like Pompeii.

Dress Code

Naples is a city where tradition meets style, so you’ll want to pack outfits that are both comfortable for sightseeing and chic enough for dining out or visiting cultural sites. During the day, casual but well-put-together outfits like jeans or pants paired with a stylish top will work well. If you plan to visit religious sites, such as the Naples Cathedral, it’s respectful to cover your shoulders and knees. In the evenings, especially if you’re heading to a nice restaurant or a cultural event, smart casual attire is recommended. Comfortable yet stylish footwear is important, especially for walking on Naples’ cobblestone streets. A light scarf and sunglasses can add a touch of style while also being practical for the sunny spring days.
